We are seeking a hands-on IPM Department Manager / Horticulture Pest Management Lead to direct our Integrated Pest Management program. This is a full-time, in person, year-round leadership role where you will oversee chemical control programs, monitor plant health, and manage a talented IPM team.

Compensation:

Competitive pay starting at $65,000 annually based on experience. Health, dental, and vision insurance. 401(k) with company match. Paid time off and employee discounts.

Essential Functions

  • Lead and manage the nursery's chemical control program according to pre-determined schedules
  • Direct, train, and supervise IPM staff to ensure safety, efficiency, and compliance
  • Plan and allocate chemicals, equipment, and personnel for maximum efficiency and cost-effectiveness
  • Monitor crops for insects, weeds, and disease and implement proactive solutions
  • Ensure accurate and safe chemical applications, following WPS and all safety regulations
  • Build a strong IPM department that contributes to optimal plant performance
  • Administer the departmental budget and support strategic planning
  • Maintain open communication with all departments to ensure plant health standards are met for sales

Desired Job Skills

  • Proven leadership skills, including the ability to manage a team and handle employee relations effectively
  • Experience in chemical applications, pest management, or horticulture operations
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Commitment to safety, compliance, and best practices
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Certified pesticide applicator's license preferred (or willingness to obtain)
